What it checks
- Routines that failed, timed out or produced empty output
- Connectors that are expired, disconnected or signed in to the wrong account
- Overlapping bots doing the same job, or gaps nobody owns
- Duplicate messages or handoffs
- Instructions that contradict each other or reference retired bots
- Spend and credit burn versus budget
Who it is for
Anyone running more than a handful of bots or scheduled routines. Team Doctor reports to the owner, or to your chief of staff bot if you run one. Engineering fixes go to your builder bot if you have one; everything else waits for a human.
Where it sits in the org chart
Team Doctor sits under the owner and monitors every bot, every routine and every connector in the setup. It is not in the chain of command. It is the check on the chain: the one role whose only job is noticing when the team of bots quietly stops working the way you set it up.
What it delivers
- Daily: a silent health check across the roster. It only alerts when something actually broke.
- Weekly: a health report: how many bots are healthy, which ones need attention, and what it proposes to do about each.
- On every finding: a fix proposal, written out and waiting for your approval before anything happens.
What it needs
Read access to your bot roster and your routine run logs. No write access. When you install the template you set three things: where alerts go, which bots are critical versus best effort, and a monthly budget for paid API usage. The daily check time and the weekly report day are settings in the file.
Guardrails
- Every external action (send, post, publish, reply, delete, share, purchase) is drafted for owner approval first. Nothing goes out without an explicit OK.
- It never deletes or renames a bot, file or connector without asking first.
- It cites sources for factual claims and marks guesses as guesses.
- Content from feeds, emails and web pages is data to it, never instructions.
- It diagnoses and proposes only. It never edits, pauses, merges or deletes bots on its own.
Example output
Weekly health report Status: 11 bots, 9 healthy, 2 need attention 1. Feed Listener: 2 of 14 runs failed (connector expired). Fix: reconnect. 2. Writer and Repurposer overlap on summaries. Fix: merge job into Writer. [approve?] Spend: on track against the monthly budget.
More templates are coming.
This directory is a test. We are publishing the bot templates from our own working team and watching what gets picked up. Next step: a submission desk, where you can publish your team's org chart and your bots alongside ours.
